Job Description

  • Execute the approved risk-based internal audit plan.
  • Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations as deemed applicable.
  • Perform detailed testing of transactions and data to identify areas of risk and potential improvement.
  • Document audit findings, including deviations from policies or standards, and communicate results to the Head of Internal Audit.
  • Develop recommendations for corrective actions and improvements to mitigate risks and enhance operational efficiency.
  • Monitor and follow up on the implementation of audit recommendations and mitigation plans to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.
  • Evaluate company records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with relevant internal and external benchmarks.
  • Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls.
  • Review various functions such as procurement, inventory management, Commercial, Production, etc. to identify control weaknesses and opportunities for improvements.
  • Analyze operational workflows, business processes, and IT systems to identify areas for process optimization and automation.
  • Conduct special investigations as required to address irregularities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in internal auditing.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to gather information, conduct interviews, and facilitate audit activities.

  • Maintain audit documentation, working papers, and reports in accordance with professional and departmental standards.

Skills

  • Clear verbal and written communication in English & Arabic
  • Attention to details in making evaluative judgements based on the analysis of factual information
  • Able to effectively communicate with team members, management, & stakeholders to convey audit findings and recommendations.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office package
  • Results Orientation and Execution Excellence
  • Problem Solving & analytical skills

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Industrial Engineering or equivalent.
  • 2 years of relevant experience.
